He let her in the room since he had the key and this dress didn't have pockets. Her head was bent down as she took off her shoes, but when he asked her what was wrong her head jerked up and she turned to look at him. Really? Surely a man capable of everything he was could read things better! He had to know how hard this was for her! He teased her constantly because he knew how she felt!
"Is this how wives are in your world?" She bit out. "What did she pass you, Oliver? Right in front of your wife? A room key? A phone number? A note asking you to sneak out after tucking me into bed?" Her pride was hurt, and she felt very.......
After how he looked at her and how he made her feel she felt jealous and hurt. Because of all the women.....she wasn't one of them.

Oliver quietly listened to her explain why she was upset. First she questioned if this was how wives were and then . . . revealed what the woman had passed him. He hadn't realized she had seen that and, wished she hadn't. He hated seeing her upset, knowing that he was the reason for it. And not able to full explain what was in his mind or heart. It was better that he didn't and never tried. Better for both of them. He knew he would have to choose his words very carefully right now. He took a couple of steps toward her, not close so to avoid invading her personal space -- since she was clearly displeased with him -- but away from the door.
And to add to his next words. "Felicity, it meant nothing," he said in a soft, quiet, and sincere voice. This felt like Russia, and he knew that was why she was hurt. However the difference was that he had no intention of sleeping with Cindy, unlike what he had done with Isabel. The last thing he wanted to do was hurt Felicity in any way. Cindy was just a needy woman wanting attention, and Oliver was not going to give in to that. He had previoulsy said he was committed to her and he knew that Felicity knew that . . . which was what made him also aware that her being upset, was for so much more than that.

He came closer and for a moment she feared he was going to try to be charming. However instead he told her it meant nothing. Cindy. Isabel. All the ones between. They all meant nothing and because there was some possibility that she might mean new then nothing he rather be with perfect one nighters instead of with her.
He deserved better. SHE deserved better. "They never do." She reminded him, and bent to grab her shoes. "I'm going to get ready for bed." Turning she went up the steps and closed the door behind her.

Her words stung in his mind as her next ones stated that she was going to get ready for bed. When he heard the door close, his expression turned to one of annoyance as he closed his eyes for a moment, inwardly cursing. He hated what he was doing with her. She was one of the few people he didn't have to lie to, yet this was the one thing that he could not be honest with her about. Agitated, he loosened his tie until he was able to take it off, setting it on the table and opening the top button on his shirt. He then took off his jacket and shoes, sitting down on the couch. He knew that the last thing she would want right now was to be in the same bed as him. She needed her space. She deserved that at the very least. Besides, it wasn't as if he planned to sleep much anyway.
Nor could he change into more casual attire, which meant that he couldn't leave the room. It would cause to much suspicion if he was wandering around in his suit while his 'wife' was in their bedroom. Besides, he feared he may run into unwanted company. Which reminded him, he pulled the folded paper from his pocket, and without looking at it, tossed it in the garbage. He then turned his body to lay down on the couch, folding his arms across his chest as he closed his eyes. He wasn't sleeping. He was just, thinking. Reflecting. Trying to focus on the case, but instead, it was Felicity's words that repeated in his mind, no matter how hard he tried to brush them aside . . . he couldn't.

Felicity changed into her pj bottoms and a long sleeved shirt for bed. She hung her dress and stored her shoes before opening the door and crawling in. She knew he'd have to join her since there was no other bed here. The waiting put her nerves on end. Ever creak and groan she heard was him coming. After a bit she realized he wasn't.......
It took her a while to try to find sleep but eventually she did. The bed was nice, and first class had the softest sheets. Note to self, spend more on sheets. She was on her side when she fell asleep, but Felicity knew she'd roll to the middle. If Oliver had joined her then she would have warned him, but as of the moment she closed her eyes, he hadn't.

Oliver got less sleep than he normally did. The setting wasn't exactly the most comforting. It wasn't the couch, or even the clothes . . . it was the fact that he was on a boat. And he still could not shake that uneasiness. So instead of sleep, his mind filled with other thoughts, ones he wish he could stop from thinking. How many more women could he possibly hurt, after having hurt so many already. It seemed that the closer he grew to, well anyone . . . the more he hurt them. The more he disappointed them. The more he failed them. The thoughts made him restless, so he alternated from laying on the couch, to sitting up on it, to sitting on the edge of it. He didn't want to walk around, noticing that the bedroom door was open and so didn't want to disturb Felicity.
He managed to get at least a half hour or so of sleep, which was sufficient. He watched the sunrise, standing in front of the window. As it continued to rise, he wished he could go to the gym, or do something to channel all these emotions that had built up inside of him. But with Felicity still sleeping, he didn't want to go into the bedroom to change and possibly disturb her. Instead, he returned to the couch, sitting on the edge of it, and trying to get back into working mode because they were here to work. He needed to focus on that because . . . well, because it was all he had.

Felicity slowly opened her eyes and turned her head. As expected she was in the middle of the bed, and the fat end was still made. Oliver never joined her. Sighing with an unnamed emotion, she pushed from the bed and walked quietly to the door. Looking out over the room from there she saw it empty. Not been to bed, and not waited for to get up. Alright. They could have the morning apart.
She began to dress for the day, and got into her under things. Before she pulled on her white sundress she wanted to do her makeup. Since the bag was down the steps, and she was alone, Felicity didn't bother to dress for the trip. Besides, some music to dress too would be good too.
Bouncing down the steps she grabbed her tablet and the turned to get her bag that was near the couch, when the sight of OLIVER caused her to jerk to a stop and drop everything! "Oliver!" AND SHE WAS IN HER UNDERWEAR! ! Turning she reached for the first thing she could find--his suit jacket- -and pulled it on. "WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?" That wasn't fair, she knew, cause it was his room too, but still! He'd scared the hell out of her just now with his stillness and....... "and why are you still in your suit?!"

Oliver heard some movement upstairs and assumed she was awake. Still, he didn't move or speak. Just in case she was getting ready, or needed some time to gather herself. Instead, he remained on the couch. He heard her coming down the stairs and was about to sit up, but as he did, he saw her and her . . . state of dress. Or well, undress rather. She cried out and grabbed his jacket, the shock of the moment causing him to leap up from the couch and turn around so that his back was faced to her. He wish he could say he hadn't see her but, that wouldn't be entirely true.
She asked what he was doing here and then why he was still in his suit. "Where else would I go, Felciity?" He questioned. Where was he going to go wandering around in his suit? She had asked him another question, but . . . it felt odd to be having a conversation with her while she was in her underwear and with his back faced to her. "Can you go upstairs and finish getting dressed before we continue this conversation." Before they talked or delved into anything else because . . . this just felt odd right now.

Without a word she turned and ran back up the steps, leaving her bag and tablet where they were. She silently screamed in her head as she tried to quickly find something to wear, though embarrassment almost had her crawling to the corner! OLIVER HAD JUST SEEN HER NAKED! Not completely naked, but still! IT WAS EMBARRASSING! This would be the moment to send her into therapy! The icing on the cake was that she didn't even get to enjoy being in his jacket! Which smelled like him!
When she managed to calm down enough to dress in her PJs again (just putting them on over her under things she forced herself to go down and face him). As she came down the steps she tried to explain, "I looked out the door, and didn't see you! I swear I would not have done that had I though you were still here!" Not that he seemed impressed! He'd just demanded she dress! Which somehow was worse! "I am SO sorry!"

Oliver heard her run up the stairs which allowed him to turn back around, though he still waited just a few moments to be entirely certain. Thankfully, when he did turn back around she was no longer there. Well, that was an uncomfortable start to their day especially after an uncomfortable end to last night. He waited silently, standing in plain sight so that she would know for certain that he was here . . . just in case. He heard her come back down, and immediately start explaining her mindset and apologizing for it.
He new it must be embarrassing for her-- more so for her than him -- since she had been the one exposed. He didn't want to cause her further embarrassment by dwelling on it but he also knew he had to say something to ease her mind. "It's alright, Felicity," he said softly, calmly, reassuringly. Yet he had a feeling the image would not be so quick to erase from his mind and he wasn't sure if that was a good thing or a bad thing. "Let's just start our morning over." And somehow pretend that that did not just happen.

"Okay!" She breathed, having one hand curled around her middle and the other covering her face because she could not yet look at him. She could do this, and just forget about it. He seemed to have, so surely she could too! "I can do that." And to prove it to herself she slowly pulled her hand away, and then forced her eyes to open and look at his face.
It was even harder to hold his gaze. "Good morning, Oliver." She greeted, "Why are you still in your suit?" Why had he not gotten clothes to change into? The clothes he was wearing looks a bit wrinkled, and she wondered if he'd slept in them on the couch. Why? It's not like he was shy! She'd seen him half naked all the time. Hell, she'd OPENLY STARED at him half naked ALL the time!

Oliver waited for her to lower her hand so that she could properly see him, and when she did, he knew that meant they had made some progress at least. She greeted him and then almost immediately after asked why he was still in his suit, a question she had posed just a few moments ago . . . but this time, it was less awkward to answer. They were looking at each other and she was properly clothed. So he knew he had to give her an answer. "I did not want to disturb you last night." Even though she had left the door open . . . he wanted to give her space, after she had been so upset with him.
And then of course, when she was sleeping, he didn't want to wake her by going in the room to find his clothes. It hadn't been a huge inconvenience anyway, not compared to other things that could be worse. He did notice that she hadn't actually changed, but rather, threw on her night clothes. Meaning, they both still had to ready for the day. "I'll wait for you to get ready before I do," he told her. He would need to freshen up, shower, and change into more casual clothing so that they could continue with their mission: their objective for being here.

So he spent the night down here in his suit? "Next time, Oliver, just go ahead. Really, I know this is . . . different . . . for us both. It's bound to have a few awkward moments." She tired to joke off her morning's strip tease, but she doubted it would be something she forgot. Ever. She had been in her underthings and walking right in front of him! Even after all the times she had seen him in only leather pants, and the other times when she'd had to undress him; it still felt like he'd seen more of her then she'd of him.
"No, you should go ahead." He had spent all night on a couch in the same clothes. "I will just order some breakfast to be brought up, and check on things." She picked her tablet up from the floor where she'd dropped it before moving over to the table she picked up the menu and looked it over. She would just order something for him, cause Oliver wouldn't eat on his own. "We can plan the day over some food."

She told him that this whole experience was bound to have some awkward moments . . . and he wondered for a moment if she was talking about last night too, or just this morning. Either way, he agreed. There were going to be several aspects of this that he knew would be uncomfortable and unfamiliar. The mere fact that they were sharing such close quarters, sharing a bedroom . . . was extremely unfamiliar. And never something he thought they would ever need to do. It just further proved how unpredictable life could be. She urged him to go first and once again, not wanting to argue -- wishing to avoid as much conflict as possible -- he gave a small nod.
He then picked up his tie and shoes to take them upstairs and put them away, before heading up the stairs, leaving her to check up on everything. He put his things away before pulling out his more casual clothing -- a simple t-shirt and jeans -- and a towel and went to take a shower and freshen up. It didn't take him long to ready himself, and sitting on the edge of the bed he put on his shoes, being as quick as he could so that she too could get ready, for he didn't want to keep her waiting to long. Once he was set, and everything of his was put away, he headed back down the stairs to let her know she could have the bedroom and bathroom to herself.

When he came back down, Felicity was at her tablet, typing on it with a keyboard that she'd brought to attach to it. There was come food on the table, and two coffee cups, one for him and one for her. It was still hot and steaming. "You just missed the coffee guy, but you're lucky I know what you like." She told him without looking up.
She typed a few more things before smiling and sitting back in the chair, picking up a plate and holding it in one hand and using her other enjoy the finger foods. "I managed to get the passenger list, so I know who is in every room. Bonus points for me! Since the doors use electronic keys, all the locks are on a computer system . . . . which I now have access to." She could lock someone in, or lock them out, or get someone out of a locked room without leaving her bed! "The bad news is, I can't do background checks on so many passengers in time. We still have no idea who we should be looking at. We need to narrow down the list."

Oliver saw her busy at work, and their breakfast sitting at the table. And more importantly, coffee. "Thank you," he said, picking up one of the cups as she then went on to explain what she had achieved. Her smiling and demeanour indicated that she was no longer angry at him. At least that much could be forgotten, along with this morning's incident. As expected, her skills gave them a great advantage. They would be able to have full access to other people's rooms. They would just have to be careful about how they used that, and didn't get caught snooping around. But, Oliver knew he could manage being elusive. He did it for a living.
He walked over to her, standing near her so that he could look at her tablet as she worked and explained. "Good," he said, a compliment attributed to her work so far. Though he didn't doubt her capabilities. "I'll work on narrowing it down today," he told her. He couldn't cross of any names yet. There were a few he was less suspicious of based on last night's dinner, but he didn't want to make any mistakes. They couldn't afford to make any. "What about the crew?" He asked, knowing that they couldn't rule them out either. Knowing she had probably already gotten a list of them compiled, he was curious to know if any of them stood out or if there were any they needed to be keep a close eye on. That was something else Oliver would work on today; familiarizing himself with not only the couples, but also the staff on the boat.

He went for the coffee and ignored the food as expected. "With a ship this size, the amount of staff is unreal. They do their own background checked, but if their shady people with fake IDs--" She was hinting at their own ease with getting fake IDs, "-then they could get in under the radar. Until someone slips up, I can't give you more."
"Well, not true." Pushing to a stand she put down her own half eaten plate, and picked up his, before sitting it down to balance over his coffee cup that he was holding. A silent hint at him to eat something. "Their name badges have tracers in them so the cruse can know where their employees are at all times. I have that system too."
Picking her plate back up Felicity walked up the steps, and paused halfway up them. "I am going with a group of girls to do a shopping, bonding things--so excited--" Sarcasm, "I will see if anything sticks out with them."

Felicity not so subtly put his plate of food right in front of him, preventing him from taking a sip of his coffee. To appease her, he took a small piece of bread and popped it in his mouth, setting the plate back down on the table. It was good to hear that they could track the staff as well, for as she said, there was a huge number of them. So it was entirely possible that any number of them could be involved with the plan, whether they had records or not. Oliver knew Adams wouldn't involve a huge number of people, for when collecting the ransom . . . he want to divide the money as minimally as possible -- if he did intend to actually divide it that is. "We also need to find out where their weapons are being stored." It wouldn't be in any of the bedrooms, which was another reason Oliver believed that at least some of the crew were involved. Maybe there were already on board before the passangers had arrived. That was also a priority, along with unveiling Adams.
She then took her plate of food and starting heading up the stairs, saying that she was going to go shopping and bond with the ladies. Before she was completely upstairs, Oliver remembered something. "Felicity," he said, to capture her attention. He reached into his pocket as he walked up the few steps until he was standing a step below her. He then placed a credit card on the edge of her plate, the clean part of it. "To help blend in," he said slightly teasingly. The women she would be socializing with were big spenders. And, it wasn't only that, but also to give her a chance to purchase whatever she wanted. Since they couldn't use their own cards because of the name, Oliver had set up a fake account, but with very really funds in it. Not giving her a chance to object, he went back the stairs, and headed out the door to start working.

Felicity stood there while Oliver walked closer, and she had a relaxed smile on her face--until he put a credit card on her plate. She looked up from it in a glare, as she reacted like a coward and walked out the door instead of letting this be an adult conversation! Picking up a grape she threw it at him, though both the grape and Oliver were out the door before she knew if it hit him.
"My aim might not be as good, but I still type faster." She muttered, before turning to walk up and get ready. As she assumed, the day was full of how she had once wished her high school life had been. Girls pretending to best friends even though they'd just met. Shopping, and trying on a million clothes.
The only thing she really bought was a round of drinks with his card. She got her clothing with the cash she had taken with her. The drinks were a business expense! She could think of it that way! Besides, when Oliver had left for the island after the glades fell, he had left her with a million of his dollars. She didn't need more!
She changed into her swimsuit, and then met up with the girls again for lunch. As it turned out, they had some of the staff seek out their husbands to make them join everyone for lunch. Which meant facing Oliver in her swimsuit without having time to prepare. They took a cart out to the bow of the ship, and the girls piled out. The men were already there waiting. As everyone greeted each other, all the wives kiss their husbands, which left Felicity walking up to Oliver in her blue plaid suit, and waiting for his lead. "Hey! . . . You!" Oliver didn't look like a 'honey' or 'dear'.

Oliver spent the day doing what he had come here to do. He went to the gym, and spoke with a few of the men there. It was typical chit chat, talking about their business, sports, money . . . nothing of interest to Oliver. At least if nothing else, he was able to keep in shape. When that was done he took another quick shower and then while the men went for beers, he decided to break away from them and seek out the others . . . depending on where they were. On the way he just happened to check out areas of the ship that were labeled 'staff only' though he did not find anything of interest. Just storage rooms, and other less than suspicious areas. When he returned to the main hall, he saw that most -- if not all -- of the husbands were gathered there, and were clad in their typical yaht wear. The only shocking thing about that was the fact that Oliver used to be one of those kind of men. Dressing to impress. Wearing expensive attire, even on a yaht -- especially on a yacht.
He didn't bother to go change. Instead, he was quite literally forced to join them as they went to reunite with their wives who were on the deck, enjoying the swimming pool. They were all certainly dressed for it. Oliver looked around at all of them, seeing the way that each husband greeting their wife, trying to weed out which embraces were feigned and which seemed genuine. Although, if the situation was reversed and if anyone was paying attention to him and Felicity, they would win a trophy for most feigned greeting. He looked at her, ever so slightly shaking his head at her attempt of a greeting. That, and he was trying not to grow distracted seeing her in a swimsuit, which was a completely new sight to him. He forced a smile on his lips, knowing that he had to play husband. "Are you having fun?" He asked, just in case anyone should over hear them. He relaxed his body, standing closer to her, intimately close, though could not do what some of the other men were and that was joining a few of the ladies in the pool or hottub. So instead, he just smiled, appearing casual, and already planning a way out of this situation so that he could take advantage of the fact that all the other passangers were here, together in one spot by snooping around on the boat a bit more.

Was she having fun? If shopping while you knew danger was hanging over your head was fun, the yes. If pretending to be your boss' wife while hiding how both his sexiness and smile got to her was fun, then oh hell yes. "We went shopping!" She told him trying to look excited about it, "For hourrrsss!" Then she made face that turned in to a real smile, and a tease "But I left my card in the room, so I had to use my cash." Meaning she'd found an out.
By then everyone was taking seats, and she sat beside Oliver. It was almost intimidating to be this near to him, and this undressed. She had not known he would be here or she would have brought a wrap to help cover some of her. While Felicity wasn't shy, after this morning it brought the embarrassment to her mind.
After the food was there, and everyone was talking, she leaned in to pretend to steal some of his. "Make any friends?" aka, anything she should know.

Oliver should have known as much; that she wouldn't take the card. He suppressed a smile at her tease and instead, continued to attentively watch their surroundings. It was moments like these were people were at ease, that they often slipped up and Oliver didn't want to miss that moment, even if it was just a second long. He had been watching everything so intently, while appearing as casual as possible, that he didn't even notice the food arrive until Felicity asked him if he'd made friends. Which caused him to break his gaze from everyone and look at her, once again smiling.
"Not yet," he said in a low voice. He wasn't sure if his 'buddies' in the gym considered him a friend now, so he didn't want to offend anyone by saying otherwise. They were trying to blend in, not isolate themselves. Though Felicity seemed to be doing an excellent job of that. "What about you?" He asked, wondering if she had met anyone interesting, or had a lead on someone that he should investigate further on. "Apart from your shopping trip, what else did you do?" Where else did she go? Anywhere of particular interest? If she had gone to certain areas, then it would eliminate ones that he had yet to explore.

He asked about her day, and she lowered her tone, leaning in more so it might look like a husband and wife were talking among themselves for a privet moment. Her words were picked with care though, in case others could hear them. "Just girl stuff. Talked about some of their charities, a few of them even in Starling City." Which would give their husbands a reason to travel there to talk to their boss if they needed.
Deciding to give him some more details, she dropped her hand to rest on his arm. When one of the girls spoke (or her husband) that had said anything about the city, she squeezed him softly. She knew he would pick up on the pattern, and plus it would help them appear more together. The conversation flowed on, and after a while she stopped, hoping he got the message.

Oliver did indeed recieve the message. The continuity between a husband and wife's stories were extremely important. If there was a single discrepency in what they said, then it was cause to look into it more. He had learned most of the people's names at this point, so it would help narrow it down if he could talk more to those who seemed suspicious, and then have Felicity check into their backgrounds. Bedroom searches would also be necessary, and Oliver thought that tonight would provide a good opportunity for that since it didn't seem he was able to get away right now. But tonight, there was another dinner for all the passangers and maybe he could slip away for a few moments . . . taking a 'business call'. Which, wasn't exactly a lie since he would be technically tending to business.
The lunch progressed and Oliver's mind continued to work. Speaking to a few of the husbands and wives, hearing their stories, offering casual information about him and Felicity, or well 'Meghan' . . . things seemed to be going smoothly. People were swimming, hottubbing, eating, drinking, chatting . . . this would be an ideal vacation if Oliver ever considered going on one. At least sitting here, observing, he had learned enough about the people, though the day wouldn't be productive until he could narrow it down to a single name. It was day two of the cruise and he wasn't sure how much more time they had before the plan would be set in motion.

The lunch was winding down, and Felicity was grateful to the idea of going back to the room for some work until supper time. It would give her and Oliver time to work out their plans, and just relax before going back out with the sharks. Plus she could put on some clothes!
One of the men order some carts to take them back to the main part of the ship, and since most the girls were un heels they all were grateful. Felicity was in her saddles again, thus making her a bit shorter then most. When asked if they wanted a ride, Felicity smiled "Yeah, we'd love one!" It would get them back to the room quicker, and give them more time to be in the group.
It would take two carts to get everyone back, and as everyone piled it, they saw they were about four seats short of fitting everyone on. "We can walk," She tried, but one of the men just laughed and said the girls could sit on their laps. Which was something normal for husband and wives.
