Mirakuru: The Miracle
Mirakuru, translated as The Miracle, is a serum that can either cause death or the extreme opposite. When injected, it has shown to cause the individual to convulse and bleed from the eyes. The user then enters a state of near death, their heart beat becoming nearly non existant. If the user survives this, they awaken after a few hours with the full effects of the serum, gaining strength, endurance, durability, heightened reflexes and speed increased to super human levels. Not only this, but they also have a strong healing factor, meaning that if the user is injured, the cells regenerate and the wound recovers at an impossible rate and state.
In oder for the serum to have this effect, a strong sedative must be administered along with it, otherwise they are most likely to die. It also seems that a person's inherent anger allows them to survive the injection without the sedative. It has also been revealed that the serum has severe side effects for those who survive the injection, which include the deformation of either their bodes or their minds.
This serum was invented by the Japanese during World Word II in the hopes of creating an army of super soliders. They transported their only supply through submarine and when it was attacked with heavy fire by the Allied Forces, it was stranded at Lian Yu.
The serum was supposed destroyed however on the island, but it is revealed that the Mirakuru can be recreated using sample's of a person's blood who has been given the drug.
