.:Name of Character:. Oliver Queen .:Nick Name:. Ollie .:Alias:. The Hood, The Arrow .:Age:. 28 in 2013 (born on May 16, 1985)
.:Physical Appearance:. Oliver is Caucasian with dirty blond hair and blue eyes. He keeps his hair shortly cropped and tends to have slight scruff on his face while maintaining well groomed and put together. He has a muscular build from years of, and continuous daily, vigorous training and stands tall at 6"1'. 20% of his body is covered in scar tissue, having second degree burns and scars from his time on the island and from his vigilante activities. He has a star tattoo on his left chest, and a dragon tattoo on his left shoulder.
As Oliver: He dresses in fairly casual clothing and for occasions he can be found wearing a suit or tuxedo. He carries himself well, reflective of the wealth his family possesses as it is apparent in his expensive attire.
As The Hood/The Arrow: In his vigilante costume, he dresses mostly in leather: a leather vest, jacket, pants, gloves and boots. He dresses in green, and often paints this color around his eyes to further camouflage his face, though the hood he wears covers majority of it. Eventually, he is gifted a green eye mask as a replacement for the paint. He carries a quiver to hold his arrows and never leaves without them, along with his arrows (some with abilities beyond piercing the enemy) and some knives tucked away for emergencies. He also carries around a voice filter to mask his voice so that those he talks to as The Hood/The Arrow will not recognize him. .:Height:. 6"1' .:Portrayed by:. Stephen Amell
.:Personality:.
Before The Island:
Oliver could quite accurately be described as a bratty playboy millionaire. He enjoyed the company of women and could be quite the charmer and -- for lack of a better term -- player. He was selfish, spoiled, and often got what he wanted. He had little sense of morals and judgment, and never considered the consequences of his actions. He had a strong sense of entitlement, being the son in an extremely wealthy family. He enjoyed partying, and had been arrested for four different crimes, all results of his careless and responsibility free lifestyle. He dropped out of an IV college which reflected his lack of discipline. He simply enjoyed life, no matter what the cost or who it hurt along the way.
After The Island: Oliver became a dramatically different person. To say that the Island changed him would be an understatement. He became more intelligent, thinking through every single situation, be aware of the consequences and thinking long term rather than in the moment. He became disciplined, and a man with a strong sense of honor and judgment. He is far more responsible than the man he used to be and is willing to do whatever necessary for his family. Along those lines, Oliver is fiercely and highly over protective of those he cares about and this can causes him to act on an impulse, which can sometimes land him into trouble or it can greatly cloud his judgment. He was once willing to kill a person deemed criminal after they failed being given a second chance, however he is now working on capturing them and leaving them alive for the police to deal with rather than kill them. His moral judgment and code of honor, as well as not wanting to be seen as amurderer by those closest to him, are what drive him to be a better man and vigilante. He often blames himself for many people's deaths, and admits his failures, even though he sometimes finds it difficult to apologize to people. With this guilt, he finds it difficult to talk about how he feels and it can take a heavy toll on him. His temper is usually well maintained and controlled, except when someone he cares about is threatened; it will often result in violent outbursts on his part.
He has a bit of a dry and sarcastic sense of humor, but can be extremely charming and charismatic, which is not something that has changed from who he was before, only this time he often has different intentions. He finds it difficult to form romantic relationships because of his fear of the woman he is with getting hurt or targeted due to his other identity. As a result, he tends to keep his guard up and withdraw, which can in turn cause him to be lonely. With that wall up, he is still unwilling to tell those exactly what happened on the Island. He is highly stubborn and practically fearless, which can indeed be a dangerous combination in his line of work. Overall, his time on the Island changed him for the better in many ways, and those who know him, and get to know him, are aware of how different he is, though they may not know the full extent of it. .:Strengths:.
- His wealth: this allows him to maintain the lifestyle and money it takes to be a vigilante and afford all the tools he requires in this position.
- His connections: this allows him to gather intel, and has many friends in high places, even on an international level.
- His intelligence: this allows him to use his skills and abilities to their fullest potential, making him successful in what he does. (will be further elaborated in his special skills)
.:Weaknesses:.
- Those he cares about: this is his greatest weakness and most all his enemies know it, as they will use those he is closest to, to get to him.
- Prioritizing: this can sometimes be difficult for Oliver, as he struggles in prioritizing what needs to be done, mostly as the vigilante. He is terrible at ultimatums and often feels he is disappointing someone regardless of the choice he makes.
- His stubbornness and impulse: as previous stated, this can be a dangerous combination. He is stubborn and that stubbornness can sometimes hurt people, though he is working on being far more aware of this than he was before. He can often become irrational when those close to him are in any sort of danger, which can cause him to lose focus and thus, put himself in reckless and highly dangerous situations.

.:History:. Oliver was born with a silver spoon in his mouth. He was the son of an extremely wealthy family: the queen family. They were billionaires (at the very least) and so he grew up in a highly privileged lifestyle. He was very spoiled while growing up, and did not know the meaning of the word 'responsible'. He did poorly in school, enjoying the results of what money and charm could get him. As a child he showed some promise in terms of his academics, however as he grew older, he skipped school and cared very little about his grades and academic achievement. He gained the reputation of being a 'playboy' as he was often seen in the public eye as enjoying the company of women, however many. He attended an IV school but dropped out of four high schools, which clearly showed his lack of interest in achieving an education. He hardly ever worked a day in his life, and so spent his time partying and having fun. He was even arrested four times with charges listed above. They showed his clear disregard for his consideration toward others, which was something that was also reflected in his relationships. He was very close to his sister, however rwhen it came to other women in his life, he was not as caring. He often had trouble committing, and wouldn't think twice of the consequences of his actions when it came to cheating on someone (i.e. Laurel).
It wasn't until he was ship wrecked on an island that his life took a dramatic change. On this island he had under went violent torture, pain, suffering, loss and so many other things that broke him down and made him feel as if he had encountered death. However, on this island he also learned a great deal: he learned how to survive. This included basic survival tactics, vigorous training from various teachers, and it also made him grow as a person and learn to consider others rather than just himself.
When he returned to Starling City after 5 years, he became a man on a mission. Under the disguise of a hood, he became a vigilante. At first it became about honoring his father's wishes, and atoning for his family's sins . . . however it became so much more than that. He learned of what true justice was, and that did not include killing others. He did not want to be perceived as a murderer and so altered his methods to avoid actions that would deem him as one. He returned to mend his relationships, and he is closer to his family than ever. He also has developed several new ties, some of which aid him on his crusade to bring criminals to justice using tactics and methods that the police are incapable of doing. He is still coping with what happened to him on the Island, but he also has learned a great deal from it and matured as well as developed morals and honor that he lacked before. After those five years on Lian Yu, Oliver became an entirely new man: one that some may call a criminal, a murderer . . . yet others will call a Hero.
Oliver was returning from Iron Heights after a very informative meeting with his mother. He had been attempting to create a strategy of how to save the company from falling under Isabel's control. It was all he knew how to do for his family. He had not even given thought to the investor that his mother had suggested to him. And while he had his hesitations about approaching Walter, they were not enough to completely deter him from taking that chance. It seemed to be the last hope that he had to save Queen Consolidated and keep it under his family's control. Mentally devising a way to bring this forth to Walter, Oliver was well aware that there was a great deal more to do. Despite his effort to put the Vigilante to rest, it seemed he was forever fated to have a target on his back. Only this time, it was as Oliver, not The Hood. At least as the Vigilante he was the one seeking out criminals. It was on his terms. This time, he had been caught completely off guard and he did not like that at all.
It was not even just him who had been put at risk. The others at the company meeting, Isabel Rochev included, Diggle, and the very person he was on his way to see now: Felicity. The three of them -- well, mainly two of them -- had a rather heated discussion regarding the future, or lack there of, of The Hood. Oliver was not planning to return as him despite both his friends' disapproval. But that did not mean he was going to ignore them or act as if they did not matter to him.
He had been in touch with Diggle who informed Oliver that they were at the Q Consolidated Head Quarters. He made his way to where they were. He first saw Diggle, ensuring that the parameters were safe. Oliver doubted the hooded men would attack here twice in the same day. They needed to be stopped, but it was not his job to do so. Still. He could not help but be highly disapproving of how they stole his catch phrase, and were completely misuing and abusing its true meaning. He exchanged a few words with Diggle before stepping into where he saw Felicity seated at her computer. His eyes searched over her face, as if he needed further conviction that she had not been harmed, before his gaze averted to the giant window, which now had a huge sheet of plastic over it. It was going to take some work to repair the damage, but what mattered most was that they were all safe. "Felicity," he greeted, his eyes still looking over the now under construction site, before finally resting on her again.
