.:Name of Character:. Juliánna Maria Grayson .:How to Say Her Name:. Juli-ON-na .:Age:. 30
.:Physical Appearance:. The half Spanish, averagely tall woman, has a slim build to her. She is not very athletic, but gets her workout on a treadmill, helping to keep her in shape. She has dark hair, brown eyes, and lightly tanned skin. .:Height:. 5'7" .:Portrayed by:. Morena Baccarin
.:Personality:. Juliánna can appear to be a bit cold or withdrawn. As if she feels nothing about the topic. Often times the only emotions you can detect from her face is when she is thinking; her brows will wrinkle and come together, and her lips will purse slightly. There is no hostility in her, and sometimes you can see she is uncomfortable, but for the most part, she is very good at hiding what she is thinking and feeling; or at least until you learn to read the small signs that she fails to hide.
Once you get to know her, Juliánna is a very emotional person, while balanced with rationalism. She knows she is emotional but has learned to control the emotions, by adding reason. So if she feels anger, she can easily control it and mentally (and quickly) talk her way down. .:Strengths:. Juliánna is very smart, and has learned to read people very well. She is quick on her feet, and while not very courageous, she is brave. Her memory is better then most people's (though not supernatural in knowing everything). .:Weaknesses:. Slightly out of sorts in social settings that lack strong rules (IE parties). Her 'hidden' past. While good at reading people, she dose not always get it right. .:Special Skills:. Getting into people's head. Speaks many languages, though not flawlessly.
.:Birthplace:. Central City .:Family:. Father - Paul Grayson (murdered), Mother - Laura Adkins Grayson (Whom Juliánna is not on speaking terms with), and a Daughter - Gabriella Samantha Grayson .:Occupation:. Forensic Psychologist (Profiler) for the Federal Bureau of Investigation [FBI]. .:Current Location of Residence:. Starling City .:History:. Juliánna grew up an only child, and very very close to her father. In the simpler days of her life she would tell everyone she wanted to be a mom or a teacher. She liked hiking and playing outside. That was then.
Now Juliánna works for the FBI. There her job is to create profiles of killers, based on the crime scene in order to help them solve the murders (FBI Profiler); also to get inside the minds of known killers to better understand what drove them to kill. Her major’s are anger studies and sexual aggression.
Her father, owned a 'Mom & Pop' style store, and was murdered by his business partner over money when she was 8, and her mother quickly became a drunk who could not take care of her daughter. Juliánna ended up being the parent in the relationship, and grew up very quickly. When she turned 18, she could take the never changing or healing moods of her mother, and she left.
Now she studies people's minds to see why they do what they do, usually finding that they go back to the basic 7 deadly sins. (Lust, Gluttony, Greed, Sloth, Wrath, Envy, & Pride) en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seven_deadly_sins
For her personal life, Juliánna is a single mother of one daughter (age 8) Gabriella Samantha Grayson. The father is not in their lives, and she never sought to tell him of his daughter.
Gabby is the center point of her world. At age two Gabby was diagnosed with a very mild case of SPD. SPD stands for Sensory Processing Disorder, and while it can cover a lot of things, in Gabby's case it means she is very 'sensitive' to sights, sounds, and smells. Which is why you would see Juliánna in mostly pastels, and her home is painted in pales colors and not the bright ones she loves. Gabby at the age of eight, still dose not like bright colors or loud sounds.
Please note, this was taken from another role play where she is from. Rule One: Be in control of one's self at all times.
Julianna turned up the music in her head, and as always she was still stuck in the 90's. Pulling out the steaks from the fridge, she danced them over to the counter; her sock covered feet sliding more then lifting on the hard kitchen floor.
She liked too cook. It was fun and she could be creative with it! She wasn't always very good, but tonight she could feel it! It was going to go right!
Rule Two: Never mix work and home
Leaving the steaks in the oven, she walked down the hall, passing her closed office door, and pushed opened Gabby's. "Hey kido, you got just enough time to clean up and then wash your hands." It was a message most Mom's could have yelled down the hall but in this house you didn't yell. You didn't play music too much.
Once Gabby was moving, Julianna headed back toward the kitchen, and paused outside her office door, before passing it by. She knew she had a ton of work to do, but she never brought her work out of her office, and never worked in her office while Gabby was awake. It would be a long night tonight.
Rule Three: Never talk about Gabby at work
She was just pulling the steaks out when she heard a knock at her door. Picking up the dish towel, Julianna cleaned her hands while walking to answer it. Since this was a enclosed apartment building, with a doorman and keys needed to enter; she did not look in the peek hole.
Opening it wide, her smile frozen, and the music skidded to a stop like someone had grabbed the record in her head. "What--what are you doing here?" It was her 'partner' from work.
Suddenly all three rules broke. Gabby:
