Despite his age Slade is a man in the best physical shape he could possibly be in and the partial reason why is the Mirakuru in his body as well as his daily physical training regimen from when he was on the island and in the ASIS. Slade has dark brown hair, a strong muscular physique, and has access to many high quality suits. His Deathstroke suit is primarily black and he wears a black and orange mask similarly to the one worn by his partner Bill Wintergreen. The mask is bullet proof as is the body suit which is made of lightweight Kevlar for protection without hindering movement.

.:Personality:. Slade is driven and persistent, never stopping until his goal is achieved. He is caring man with a strong moral compass but he will use underhanded tactics such as abandoning an ally if he sees a chance to complete his goals. Slade does not forgive easily however as shown with his ex-partner Bill Wintergreen when he betrayed him and Ollie who he sees as responsible for Shado’s death. After taking the Mirakuru Slade has become more reckless, impulsive, and driven by anger and revenge more than anything else. He manages to temper the madness with his strong resolve to see justice done for what happened to the woman he loved and it gives him purpose while at the same time prevents him from actually living.
.:Strengths:. Slade’s ASIS training makes him a formidable hand to hand and ranged combat opponent. Slade is particularly fond of swords and pistols but is also lethal from long range with a sniper rifle. The Mirakuru also increased Slade’s body far beyond that of a normal human being making him faster, stronger, and harder to kill. Even before the Mirakuru Slade had a natural high tolerance for pain and would therefore be able to ignore most non-lethal injuries.
.:Weaknesses:. Slade’s weaknesses are his anger and lust for revenge particularly against Ollie who had been involved in Shado’s death to save Sara from Anthony Ivo. He is reckless and impulsive causing him to make rash decisions. While the Mirakuru gives Slade enhanced healing it has yet to heal his eye that he lost in a fight with Ollie so Slade is half blind and unable to heal lost limbs. His love for Shado is considered to be his worst weakness as it prevents him from moving on with his life.

.:History:. Slade Wilson was born in Australia but much about his early life is unknown except that Slade joined the ASIS Team 7 with his friend Bill Wintergreen going under the codename Deathstroke and he has at least one son named Joseph. In 2007 Slade and Wintergreen traveled to the island of Lian Yu set on extracting Yao Fei to gain insight into the operations of Edward Fyres on the island. The plane carrying the two men was shot down by Fyers and they were captured.
Slade was tortured by Fyres’ men but gave them nothing and Slade was thrown in a makeshift holding area with Yao Fei. Together the two devised a way to escape by faking Slade’s death little did they know that Bill Wintergreen had turned traitor to save his own skin and joined Fyres. Slade fought Wintergreen but bested his friend knocking him unconscious. Slade is alone with Yao Fei for several months awaiting Fyres’ supply plane so they can attempt to escape until Oliver Queen stumbles upon the wreck of Slade’s plane. Despite being sent by Yao Fei Slade does not trust Ollie given that he has no fighting ability and no strength to even defend himself and sees him as a liability. Ollie tries to escape and punches Slade in the face proving that there might be some hope for him after all. Slade agrees to train Ollie so that he can help Slade take down the supply plane when it arrives and when Ollie finds Slade’s mask, similar to the one worn by Bill Wintergreen, he tells Ollie about his time in the ASIS.
One day on their return to camp Ollie steps on an old World War II landmine and Slade hides and seemingly abandons Ollie when Fyres’ men arrive. Slade kills the group of soldiers and rolls a body on top of the mine to free Ollie. That night Slade regales the story of how Wintergreen betrayed him after being captured and that he was the godfather of Joseph which caused the betrayal to hurt even more. Slade and Ollie attempt to take the communications tower on the island which Ollie fails to kill the guard in the tower after Slade clears a path to the tower. Slade is disappointed in Ollie and tells him to wait for him to return and when he does Slade disconnects the call Ollie had made to his girlfriend Laurel Lance knowing that Fyres would be able to discover the tower was compromised. Slade reveals his intention to destroy the island and everyone on it after the supply plane arrives but Ollie refused to leave Yao Fei to die and so Slade gives him 3 hours or he’ll leave him on the island to die.
Ollie is captured while trying to save Yao Fei prompting Slade to come and rescue him by using several explosions as a distraction and then engages Bill Wintergreen one on one and kills him by stabbing him in the eye for his betrayal. Shortly after that Slade is shot in the arm by Fyres but he and Ollie escape and they remove the bullet from his arm back at camp. Ollie leaves to collect herbs that Yao Fei had told him about for the wound and once Slade has recuperated Slade claims he “owes him one”. Slade continues Ollie’s training this time to repair a broken radio which proves almost impossible at first but Ollie manages to do it though it can only work one way preventing them from calling a rescue. The two decide to use the radio to listen in on Fyres and discover that he has a missile launcher on the island codenamed Scylla after the monster from the Odyssey. Rather than destroy the launcher as originally planned Ollie steals the circuit board to leverage for a way off the island.
Slade and Ollie reach an agreement with Fyres but Fyres reveals an ace in the hole, Shado, Yao Fei’s daughter held captive and threatened to kill her if they didn’t hand over the circuit board. The two managed to rescue Shado and Yao Fei though the latter is shot in the escape and they later discover that Fyres knew all along where the circuit board was and took it. During a sparring match with Shado they discover Ollie is evenly matched with her thanks to Slade’s training and she offers to take over. When Slade returns from scouting much to his amusement he finds Ollie slapping water to increase his strength to be able to use Yao Fei’s bow. When the time comes to rescue Yao Fei from Fyres Shado suggests letting Ollie cover them from a distance with the bow to which Slade says he’s not ready for and despite Shado’s training Ollie is unable to take down a target but before a new plan could be reached they are discovered by Fyres’ men led by Yao Fei who agreed to help him if he lets Shado live.
Feeling Yao Fei’s usefulness had ended Fyres had Yao Fei executed in front of Slade, Ollie, and Shado. The three escape and evade the missile from the Scylla and Ollie confronts Fyres himself whom Ollie executes with an arrow much to Slade’s approval. Slade continues to train Ollie but he is distracted by his growing feelings for Shado to which Slade begins to tell him that women are a distraction. Evidence of this is further proved when the proximity detector goes off and Shado is captured by a group of armed men and when one of them strikes her Ollie loses his self-control and begins to attack them but it’s not until the group is dead that they realize there are more on the island searching for something. Slade later feels that Ollie is uneasy about killing the leader of the group of soldiers they encountered and asks Shado to comfort him while he looks over the map they recovered from the bodies. Studying the map led them to a cave and Slade stops Ollie to remind him that women are a distraction and that they can get him killed. When they enter the cave they discover a hidden graveyard of Japanese soldiers from World War II.
While scouting the enemy position Ollie and Slade see a ship, the Amazo, firing at a specific location on the island and they begin to run fearing that whomever is running the group knows where they live and while running under fire Slade is hit with an explosive shell which burns his right hand and the right side of his face. Ollie manages to get Slade back to the plane but his injuries are severe and Shado begins covering them with an herbal ointment to slow down the damage but its severe enough that without medical help Slade was going to die. When the soldiers whom are commanded by Anthony Ivo from the Amazo search the plane Slade and Shado hide while Ollie was on the ship captured. Slade and Shado still manage to stage a rescue of Ollie and a newcomer Sara Lance, whom came with Ollie on board his father’s ship, and they discover that Ivo is searching for the Mirakuru, a serum made by the Japanese that grants incredible abilities to anyone who manages to survive the process and to date none have. Knowing the risks the four decide that it is the only option to save Slade.
The group managed to find the Japanese sub containing the Mirakuru and before administering it to Slade he confesses his love for Shado to Ollie in the event he doesn’t survive and after being injected Slade began to feel immense pain and blood began to pour from his eyes as he fell unconscious. Slade managed to survive but Ollie, Sara, and Shado were missing and running full speed he caught up with them to learn Ivo had shot Shado and Slade picks up her body vowing vengeance for Ivo and anyone else involved with her death. Shado is buried next to Robert Queen and Yao Fei and Slade presents Shado’s hood to Ollie knowing she’d want him to have it. Slade’s anger begins to grow out of control as he wants to hit Ivo on the ship but Sara and Ollie object saying that they are not equipped to attack him and he begins to attack Sara until Ollie steps in and Slade begins choking him. It is only when Sara strikes Slade with tree branch that he stops. Slade decided to go after Ivo alone using Fyres’ missile launcher to sink the Amazo and Ivo with it until Sara and Ollie arrive to stop him. Slade’s madness was deterred when Ollie told him not to let Shado’s sacrifice be in vain and that she would want him to go home to his son and realizing what he was doing Slade stood down but Slade was still determined to kill Ivo and take the freighter.
In modern day Slade escaped the island missing an eye thanks to Ollie and has masterminded the Blood Cult with Sebastian Blood as his number two. Slade provides Blood with his Mirakuru enhanced blood to make more soldiers which included Cyrus Gold and Roy Harper but his plans were constantly being thwarted by the Arrow. Slade was disappointed in Blood’s efforts to take care of the Arrow as well as letting Laurel Lance get to close to discovering their operations and Slade began to question Blood’s abilities to get the job done. After Officer Daily, a patsy leader for Laurel and the Arrow to find, was killed Slade had dispatched Blood’s guards and reminded him that if he failed him again then Blood would be next on the chopping block. Slade’s dissatisfaction in Blood continued as he underestimated Moira Queen and now had a strong opponent for Mayor of Starling City and he decided to handle her himself. Slade pays Moira a visit in which she introduces Ollie to Slade allowing the two to meet face to face since the day Slade lost his eye.
The Arrow was becoming a giant pain in Slade's side and Sebastian Blood's incompetence was just as bad. Slade was constantly being reminded about the old saying that if you need something done right you have to do it yourself. Slade had his suspicion that Ollie was the Arrow and that if it was true then he had one more reason to kill him as slowly and as painfully as possible before granting him the death he will be begging for when Slade was through. Slade had plans for Blood but he needed to remind him constantly that he is expendable, mayoral candidate or not, but that was a plan for another time, right now he needed to focus on Moira Queen and her son Ollie.
Slade's meeting with Moira was going as planned until she excused herself to step out into the hall for a moment. When she reentered she had Ollie in tow. Ollie was good at hiding his surprise at seeing Slade but he knew that Ollie was shocked that Slade had survived and that he was here a well. "So this is the famous Oliver Queen I have been hearing so much about." Slade had begun to hear Moira's voice but his eye never left Ollie as she droned on about her son and his "remarkable" story. Slade smiled and turned his head to Moira as he placed his hand on her shoulder. "Moira I would like to get to know Oliver a bit in private I hope this is not asking too much."
Moira smiled and dismissed herself and when the door closed Slade's smile vanished as he turned his head to Ollie. "Hello Ollie, did you miss me?" Ollie didn't speak but Slade had already knew the first question on his mind. "It takes more than an arrow in the eye to kill me surely you didn't think that you would have killed me not when so many others had failed. I'm going to make this quick as I'm sure you're a busy man as am I but if you tell your friend Sara or anyone else that I am here or come after me in any way I will make sure you will die for it." Slade walked toward the door placing a smile on his face as he excused himself from the Queen home. Ollie wasn't going to take his advice and Slade knew it, he had made the first move and now it was Ollie's turn.
