.:Name of Character:. Jason Orin Carter
.:Nick Name: Jay, Orin, JC
.:Alias: Shadow Soldier
.:Age: 22.
.:Physical Appearance:.
He likes to keep himself well kept. But every once in awhile you can tell where he has been working thanks to the oil or grease on him or his clothes. He is a well-built man, due to his rigorous training with his mentor, Ghost. By the shape of his body and arms, you can tell that he spends many a day practicing, building things or repairing things. He is also quite tan. He dresses almost like a bad boy. Or a greaser really. He likes to wear black leather jackets or hoodies. Chuck Taylor's or boots for footwear. Jeans, both torn and not torn, and cargo pants. Usually will wear white t-shirts or just a simple color. Usually doesn't wear designer clothes, preferring to buy the simple clothes to show that u can be stylish without spending $100s of dollars.
Jason's current costume is an upgraded variant of the Ghost costume, Jason’s father wore. The costume incorporates Nomex, Kevlar and lightweight titanium alloys. This makes it resistant to slashing damage, small caliber bullets, and extreme temperature changes. The current costume is a stylized red "wing" across his chest. His quiver is attached with two gray shoulder straps connected across the chest, and his black gloves are fingerless. Pants with black knee pads, and black combat boots. He carries his retractable bo-staff in a holster on the side of his right leg, with his crossbow strapped to his left.
Equipment: Utility Belt: Jason wears a utility belt containing mission-specific equipment such as a first aid kit (containing tweezers, antiseptic gel coated band aids, bone and muscle pain reliever spray cans and antidotes for some toxins.), military cable, pick locks, grenades, and several other materials.
AMT Hardballer pistol: The AMT Hardballer/Silverballer is a stainless steel clone of the Colt M1911A1 made by Arcadia Machine & Tool. It has a seven round magazine capacity and fires .45ACP (Automatic Colt Pistol) rounds. The Hardballer can be easily concealed to take out targets up close, with a suppressor to ensure he remains undetected. If he ever finds himself in a tight situation however, he can rely on the extra firepower of dual Hardballer to neutralize the threat and escape.
Hook blade- Two weapons in one. Part hook. Part blade. Hook can be used for zip line and climbing purposes. Blade pops out with a flick of the wrist.
Shield: Jason's main weapon is his shield, a concave disk 2.5 feet in diameter, weighing 12 pounds. It is made of a unique Celestial Bronze-titanium alloy that has never been duplicated. The shield has great aerodynamic properties: it is able to slice through the air with minimal wind resistance and deflection of path. Its great overall resilience, combined with its natural concentric stiffness, enables it to rebound from objects with minimal loss of angular momentum. It is virtually indestructible: it is resistant to penetration, temperature extremes, and the entire electromagnetic spectrum of radiation. The only way it can be damaged in any way is by tampering with its molecular bonding. allow him to accomplish amazing feats with the item. Aside from bashing foes and blocking incoming attacks, he is able to throw it with nearly perfect aim. Jason can hit multiple targets with the same throw by means of ricochet, and could even achieve a boomerang-like return effect, allowing him to strike enemies from behind or retrieve the shield without objects to ricochet from.
Eskrima Sticks/Bo Staff: These sticks are made with an unbreakable polymer and they have electrically charged tips which allow Jason to electrocute and stun his opponents anytime he hits them. They are even capable of generating a pulse of electricity to knock his opponents off of his/her feet. Jason can even bring his Eskrima Sticks together at their handle end and extend the both sticks once combined to make a Bo Staff as well, with both ends of the stick being electrically charged
.:Height:. 5'11
.:Portrayed by: Sebastian Stan.
.:Personality:.
There is two sides to Jason. He's like a coin.
Side one:
Jason is kind of a secluded individual. Sure he likes to party every now and then, but he would much prefer his time to be spent in the Forge or Armory. He enjoys the work that comes with staying there. It is what he plans on doing in the future. When he does come out, he likes to sit and watch people. Even though it doesn't seem like he would, he loves to hear the latest drama. He likes to keep up to date. If you do decide to come up to him and talk to him, you can find him to be a lovely young man. If your on his good side that is. He enjoys a good joke, and all that. He keeps his friends close, along with girls. He enjoys a girls company. In fact, he thrives in it. Especially if that girl is someone he really loves. When he falls hard for someone, he falls hard. He isn't a complete romantic, but he knows what girls like to hear. What they like to receive. Only he will keep them wanting more by not giving them everything their heart desires. He is twisted in that way. Of course, as I said earlier, all that is if you get on his good side. If you get on his bad side then watch one. If he keeps his friends closer, then you can only imagine he keeps his enemies closer. He may appear friendly to them, but his smirk or curl of his upper lip shows otherwise. He will be snide, snarky, and devious to those he doesn't like or approve of. Not only that, but he is a fighter. If you push his buttons to bad, then prepare for the fight of your life.
Side Two:
Jason is very serious most times. He has been known to use sarcasm and dark humor to defuse tense situations. He can be very gung ho and quick to rush in without a plan, much like his father did. Though for the more dangerous operations, he has been known to plan out every detail down to the last second if others are involved in order to keep them safe. Jason blames himself for the death of his father and usually manages to find creative ways to blame himself if he loses anyone during anything. Because of this, he tends to work alone whenever possible. This makes him seem like he is anti-social, but he does it mostly to protect others. His sister likes to remind him that he doesn’t have to carry the weight of the world on his shoulders, hoping it will sink in one day.
Jason was raised in a "Do it yourself" environment. Very rarely did he ever depend on someone else to do things for him and as he aged she began to show that in his personality. Joey tends to stick to himself, he`ll have some friends however he refuses to "need" anyone. When it comes to people he`d rather do it himself than have to rely on someone else and even though he enjoys the company of others he`d be fine without having people to talk to if it all came down to it. Being independent is both a good and bad trait, sometimes he wishes he could rely on others and other times he`s glad to just have his trust on himself. For the most part, Jason is a very passionate and opinionated guy. Always ready with a witty and biting remark, he is intent on proving himself to anyone who questions him. Jason conceals his defensive nature with an aggressive attitude, exhibiting a wild temperament that is apparent when people argue or belittle him. He readily involves himself in confrontations with little to no hesitance.

.:History:.
Jason Carter was born and raised in Starling City. His parents were assassins. During one of their crimes, his mother, Paula was crippled, and as a result took the fall for her husband. Paula spent the next six years in prison, during which Jason was raised alone by his father, as his older brother ran away the same year due to their father's emotional and verbal abuse.
When his mother Paula was released from prison, she returned home and spoke in private with Jason's father. She stated that she had gone straight and that she wanted Jason to do the same, and she wanted him to leave. During his adolescent years, Jason's personality was a product of his unusual upbringing. In the kill-or-be-killed culture in which his parents raised him, Jason had to constantly fight for his life, resulting in his considerably aggressive nature and willingness to solve problems with force. He was also protective of his secrets, and constantly lied to his friends about his family.
Their past finally caught up with them one night. Enemies managed to stage an attack on the family. His father did his best to fight their assailants, but finally, his failing health got the best of him and his father fell in battle. His mother managed to get Jason to the safe room they had set up, and attempted to draw the attackers away.
Paula took him to General James Bronson, who promised Jason that he had a good place for him where he’d be safe. General Bronson put Jason in the care of Agent Duncan Queen, a trusted friend of his father.
Duncan did his best to raise Jason, but he became somewhat of a problem child for some time, until a young girl was brought to live with them. Lydia O’Neil had lost her parents as well. Jason decided that he was going to take it upon himself to look out for the girl and eventually adopted the role of older brother figure for her. He did his best to make sure that she was safe, going as far as to resume training under Duncan and James at age 15. Jason decided that training would allow him to gain the skills to keep Lydia safe and then decided that this would give him the edge he needed to avenge his parents. After he graduated high school, he decided to go off and pursue his parents’ killers. Duncan wouldn’t hear of it though. He told Jason that if he wanted to catch them, then he would do it his way.
He wants to spend his days protecting people who can't protect themselves and from the dangers of the world.
"Did you get him? Is he dead?"
Several rounds of gunfire had been unloaded into what was once a nicely decorated area of the sizable high-rise apartment commonly under occupancy of a high ranking capo of the Falcone crime family. As of late, this individual had been double dipping; going behind his more traditional mob family and joining up with the more fringe, newcomers on the crime scene. It was all part of a plot to dethrone the Falcones and create a new organization in the power vacuum. The reasoning behind the man's moves didn't matter to the former sidekick, he just wanted to know who these usurpers were.
Mere moments ago, the crime fighter busted through the window and taunted the individuals before letting off a sheen of smoke to disguise his movements. As an instinctive response, the men opened fire, practically destroying the apartment as a result. As the haze began to bellow out of the shattered window and clear, the men glanced around the apartment, hoping to discover Red Hood's presence. One man happened to wander too close to the window for his own good, and was yanked out as a result.
"'Fraid not," Jason chimed nonchalantly as he pulled himself back into the apartment with his left arm. His right arm was busy wielding his handgun, which he used to open fire and drop two of the criminals inside within a matter of heartbeats. His shots were well placed in order to avoid killing or significantly maiming the mafioso. He needed to be questioned first.
The goons were momentarily distracted by the deaths of their associates that they weren't prepared for the physical assault brought upon by the Shadow Soldier. A lunge sent him into one man, gun first, cracking the man in the head. With a casual spin, he fired once more, taking out the two other men. And before the Falcone man got into the position to where he could fire upon Jason, a vase was chucked into his head. He stumbled and eventually collapsed on to his coffee table with a significantly loud grunt. "Looks like you're all by yourself now..." Jason paused for a moment, glance behind his back, aimed, and fired on the man he tackled into a wall moments earlier.
"Okay, now you're by yourself." Shadow mused, flicking the safety on his gun into its on position before sliding his gun into its holster. He walked over the Falcone man, but he returned to his feet with a vengeance, knife extended, hoping to stab...something. Of course, he failed. Red Hood deflected his arm, sent a knee into his ribs in the span of a second. To add insult to injury, Jason snatched his own hand and shoved the man's own knife into his thigh. Ouch.
"Your friends are dead. Considering the neighborhood we're in, you have three minutes before the cops hit the building, tops. Maybe a minute, minute and a half before they get to this floor. That give's you two minutes and twenty five seconds to talk before I have to leave. So, unless you want to be a pavement pancake like your buddy outside, I suggest you start talking. You have plenty of time"
